About the role
We’re looking for an onsite Ecommerce & Marketing Manager in the sporting goods/sport industry.
Our client is a fast-growing, innovative player in sporting training products space, with a direct-to-consumer focus and exciting new products in development. Working onsite in their Burlington, Ontario facility; you’ll collaborate closely with a passionate, entrepreneurial team. This role is ideal for a hands-on marketer eager to lead and scale digital marketing and ecommerce operations in a dynamic sports environment.
Ecommerce & Marketing Manager responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and optimize paid advertising campaigns across Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google Ads, and Amazon Ads
- Manage segmented Klaviyo email marketing campaigns and automation flows
- Oversee Shopify backend, optimizing store performance and customer experience
- Manage Amazon platform operations and fulfillment workflows
- Develop and execute SEO strategies to drive website traffic
- Analyze advertising, website, and sales performance data to inform strategies and improve results
- Participate in content creation – capturing, editing, and publishing using tools like Canva, CapCut, or similar
- Support content strategy and creation across digital platforms and paid media
- Coordinate product launches, promotions, and other marketing initiatives
- Own the digital brand narrative across all online channels
- Stay current on ecommerce, digital marketing, and DTC trends
The successful candidate has:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in ecommerce and digital marketing roles
- Proficiency with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and Klaviyo
- Strong experience managing Shopify (required) and Amazon Seller Central (preferred)
- Familiarity with email marketing flows, customer acquisition strategies, and performance marketing
- Creative skills and comfort developing digital assets and marketing creatives (Canva, CapCut, etc.)
- Solid SEO knowledge and website optimization experience
- Analytical mindset and ability to generate actionable insights from data
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment
- Bonus: Background in sporting goods, sport, or fitness brands
- Bonus: Passion or interest in sports or cultural fit
Compensation and benefits:
- The discussed salary range is $55,000 – $80,000 depending on experience
- Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
- Collaborative onsite work environment
