Who we are:
Taza Development Corp. (TDC) is a joint venture between the Tsuut’ina Nation and Canderel, a leading Canadian real estate company. The Nation is home to 2400 community members and adjacent to the southwest quadrant of the City of Calgary, Alberta. Governed by a Board of Directors, the TDC team will oversee the development of three distinct yet interconnected villages – Buffalo Run, Taza Park, and The Crossing. Over the next 25+ years, this 1200-acre community development project will bring significant social and economic prosperity to the region and elevate Tsuut’ina Nation as a key player in the real estate landscape.
Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President, Finance and Administration, the Office Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Taza Development Corp. This position works cross-functionally with all team members to implement and uphold company policies and procedures, coordinate employee onboarding and training, assist with HR and IT support functions, and contribute to internal event planning and logistics.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the organization and presentation of the office environment, ensuring a professional, welcoming, and efficient workspace. Responsibilities:
Front Desk
- Provide professional and friendly service to employees and guests
- Assist with office maintenance and organization
- Answer and transfer telephone calls
- Handle incoming/ outgoing couriers and mail
- Coordinate board meetings, conference calls, and meeting materials.
- Schedule reception relief
- Organize catered lunches and maintain menu options
- Operate and troubleshoot meeting room equipment.
- Maintain lobby and meeting rooms
Supply Room/ Kitchen
- Order office supplies and negotiate pricing
- Maintain supply room and office photocopy areas.
- Keep the kitchen and supply room organized and stocked
- Clean office equipment
- Coordinate shredding and special pickups
Office Administration
- Coordinate office maintenance projects
- Contribute to the social committee and office events to foster a positive work culture
- Process front desk invoices in a timely manner
- Support executives with business travel arrangements, expenses, and other administrative tasks as needed
- Support IT with new staff hires
- Update employee/ office contact list
- Distribute access fobs and handle parking invoices
- Assist with scanning projects and expense reports
- Support staff on-boarding
- Coordinate office special projects
Qualifications & Competencies:
- 3-5 Years of office coordination or similar experience.
- Bachelor's degree in office administration, management, or related field preferred
- Customer service experience is a desirable
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, PPT, Excel, Word)
- Familiarity with office machinery
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize and pay attention to detail
