The PATS - Accountant will play an important and dynamic role in the day-to-day operation and success of the Club’s business operations. As a member of the Business Operations department, the Accountant will play a dynamic and integral role in the Regina Pats finance department. This position will report to, and work directly with, the Manager, Finance & Administration and be responsible for monthly tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, preparing invoices, as well as assisting with month-end and year-end reporting. The role will require an individual who is available to work a variety of irregular work hours including all game days/nights (evenings, weekends, and holidays).
Duties & Responsibilities
Finance & Administration
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare invoices, receive payments, and complete bank deposits
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Complete bank reconciliations
- Assist with cash outs, merchandise, and inventory counts
- Reconciliation of monthly credit cards
- Data entry of various transactions
- Other tasks as assigned
Regina Pats Community Foundation
- Assist with the operation of the Regina Pats Community Foundation. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Setting up 50/50 raffles for each Regina Pats home game
- Scheduling volunteers to sell 50/50 tickets
- Reconciliation of sales at the end of each 50/50
- Tracking and documenting all 50/50 sales
- Payment of volunteer honorariums
- Other tasks as assigned
