Skilled Concrete Laborers
Penn-co Construction is a leading construction company currently looking for hardworking and dependable Concrete Labourers to join our construction team. Job Duties
· Set up and prepare concrete forms accurately to support scheduled pours
· Install and secure rebar or wire mesh to reinforce concrete structures
· Mix, pour, and finish concrete, ensuring surfaces meet quality and durability standards
· Spread, level, and smooth concrete using hand tools, screeds, and power trowels
· Maintain a safe and organized worksite by strictly following all safety procedures and regulations
Requirements
· Proven experience in layout of buildings, including anchor bolt patterns and structural alignment
· Familiarity with a variety of formwork systems (conventional, panelized, engineered, etc.)
· Proficient in placing and finishing concrete, including hand finishing and power troweling techniques
· Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and construction documents
· Strong knowledge of constructing footings on challenging terrain, including bedrock
· Must be willing and able to travel to remote project locations
Rotational schedules may include:

5 days on, 2 days off

10 days on, 4 days off

15 days on, 6 days off

About PENN-CO CONSTRUCTION
Established in 1959 by Abram K. Penner and his two sons, Penn-co Construction began as a small farm based logging operation near the village of Blumenort which is approximately thirty miles Southeast of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. In the 1980’s and 90’s, Ernie Penner expanded Penn-co to new locations throughout Canada and the United States including Calgary, Toronto, Minneapolis and Raleigh. Although the head office has always been located in Blumenort, Penn-co has successfully completed projects from Ontario to British Columbia as well as in Minnesota, Nebraska and North Carolina. We look forward to putting this experience to work for you.
