Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Test Engineer (Hardware) to join our team in Ottawa, ON. As a Junior Test Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and supporting test systems and processes, utilized for product design verification and manufacturing test. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet quality, reliability, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of test systems used in product design verification and manufacturing test
  • Support the development and execution of test plans and procedures for electronic products and systems
  • Design, develop, and maintain test fixtures and equipment to support product testing
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues related to product testing and functionality
  • Collaborate with product design engineers to ensure that products are designed for testability and manufacturability
  • Analyze test data and provide recommendations for process improvements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to test system design & test processes

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 0-3 years of experience in test engineering or a related field
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuits, schematics, and hardware design principles
  • Familiarity with test measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in software development using languages like CVI, C++, C#, LabView, SQL, TestStand, Python, VB.net
  • Experience in structural test development and support for systems such ICT, Flying Probe, Boundary Scan (JTAG), AOI, AXI
  • Experience with environmental stress screening (ESS) equipment and methodologies
  • Knowledge of machine learning or artificial intelligence concepts
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
  • Experience with design for test methodologies & test strategy planning
  • Familiarity with MS Project, project management methodologies, JIRA, & SPC
