About the role
Killam Apartment REIT (TSX:KMP.UN), is a growth-oriented real estate investment trust which owns, manages and develops multi-family residential properties in Atlantic Canada, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia. Killam is focused on maximizing its value and long-term profitability through increasing earnings, expanding the portfolio through acquisitions, and developing high-quality properties in its core markets.
We are currently looking for an energetic & results-oriented Leasing Assistant, to join our Leasing Team in Moncton. From May – August 31 the role is full time, 40 hours per week Monday through Friday. As of September, until end of April it is a part-time role, 16 hours per week, and may require some weekends for open houses or to support our Leasing Team. This position would be ideal for students looking for part-time work.
What you will do:
- Field all leasing communication, by phone, text, email or in person;
- Perform showings;
- Follow up with prospective tenants after showing to close the sale;
- Manage advertisements of properties;
- Processing applications, prepare lease documents & arrange lease signings.
Who you are:
- 1-2 years’ experience in sales, marketing and/or customer service;
- Post-secondary education is considered an asset;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Experience with posting ads on Kijiji, and working in Yardi considered an asset;
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset;
- Availability to work weekends;
- Must have own vehicle.
