Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine the appropriate treatment plans.
- Utilize osteopathic manipulative techniques to treat musculoskeletal disorders and enhance patient mobility.
- Administer medications as needed and monitor patient responses to treatments.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Collect and analyze data related to patient outcomes for ongoing research and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide education and support to patients regarding lifestyle changes, preventive care, and home care strategies.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in osteopathic medicine through continuous professional development.
Requirements
- Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state medical license to practice as an Osteopath.
- Experience in a medical office setting is preferred, with exposure to acute care environments being advantageous.
- Familiarity with pediatric care is a plus.
- Proficiency in medication administration and patient care practices.
- Strong skills in data collection and analysis for research purposes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospital or clinical setting.
