The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada’s largest mental health teaching hospital and one of the world’s leading research centres in its field. The organization conducts ground-breaking research, provides expert training to healthcare professionals and scientists, develops innovative health promotion and prevention strategies, and advocates on public policy issues at all levels of government.

CAMH Foundation is charged with raising and stewarding funds in support of CAMH. Its role is to help transform the way we understand and address mental illness by raising awareness and increasing engagement across the country. Generous and dedicated supporters help CAMH advance discovery and innovation, build spaces that promote recovery, and break down the stigma of mental illness.

The Corporate & Community Partnerships team is responsible for engaging corporate Canada and community groups in meaningful ways that result in long-term and sustainable partnerships that help CAMH Foundation reach its fundraising, awareness, and impact goals. THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Corporate Partnerships Coordinator provides administrative and operations support to the Corporate Partnerships team. This role coordinates activities that support the effective discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of the Foundation’s corporate partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fundraising Support (70%)

  • Provide administrative and fundraising support to Corporate Partnerships team broadly in managing relationships with corporate, donors and prospects.
  • Draft, format, review and edit a range of donor correspondence including gift agreements, gift acknowledgements, pledge forms and reminders, invitations, and more.
  • Assist with the preparation of presentation decks, proposals, stewardship reports, briefing notes, and other donor materials and packages.
  • Update and maintain donor database (Raiser’s Edge), electronic files and records in a timely manner as per our policies and business processes. Work closely with Donor Managers to ensure that RE records including actions, call reports, contact information and proposals, are up to date.
  • Review prospect lists, make recommendations and perform quality control on lists pertaining to event invitations, recognition, and fundraising products.
  • Perform general office support duties such as preparing meeting packages, arranging couriers, and mailings.
  • Ensure proper electronic filing and sharing of proposals, donor gift agreements, acknowledgements, stewardship letters, reports, and other correspondence.
  • Coordinate and manage expense invoices and prepare monthly expense reports as needed.
  • Provide support to donors, staff, and volunteers, including preparing basic information requests, briefing notes, mailings, etc.
  • Collaborate daily with other team members to ensure a high level of information sharing and coordination of activity to help support the goals of the Corporate Partnerships team.

Partnership Engagement (30%)

  • Engage with corporate donors and community partners as requested to fulfill engagement touchpoints throughout the fundraising cycle (e.g. responding to inbox inquiries, providing tax receipts, etc.)
  • Assist in the delivery of donor engagement touchpoints as developed by the Manager, Partner Engagement & Activations and the Marketing and Donor Engagement team and in line with established donor experience journeys.

Other

  • Work as a team player promoting a positive and professional work environment and conduct role with integrity and respect.
  • Act as an ambassador throughout the community, positively representing the Hospital and the Foundation.
  • Abide by the policies and procedures of CAMH and CAMHF.
  • Maintain donor and CAMHF confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  • Abide by the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and work in a manner that is safe, reporting incidents immediately to direct supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in order to meet the overall goals and objectives of the Foundation.
  • Operate within the culture and core values of the organization.
  • Strive to optimize team effectiveness and efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum of three years of relevant work experience in non-profit administration or operations.
  • A post-secondary education or comparable combination of work and education experience that is deemed equivalent may be considered.
  • Strong overall administrative skills, including strong attention to detail, well-developed business writing and proofreading experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and to successfully manage multiple priorities as evidenced by excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to timely and appropriate customer service, rooted in initiative and tact.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using donor or CRM databases and Raiser’s Edge knowledge strongly preferred.
  • A flexible team player able to collaborate and support colleagues and motivated to achieve results.
  • Professionalism, judgment, and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters are essential.
  • Willingness to learn and to take on additional responsibilities as appropriate.

Salary Range: $56,275 to $63,104 annually
