About the role
LeverageTek is actively seeking a Technical Architect (MVP Software) – Hospital Data for an 8-month contract with its Ottawa based client.
Work Location
Ottawa or Toronto – Hybrid
**This is a part-time engagement - 20 hours a week

Key Tasks
- Provide direction for the overall architecture of MVP and supporting technologies including data management platforms, data access, and data storage.
- Provide architectural direction for the MVP and required architectural artifacts such as logical and physical architecture.
- Provide technical leadership to the MVP software development team.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure the solution is aligned with business requirements.
- Participate in development and execution of assessments to gather the necessary insight from the jurisdictions.
- Research, evaluate and recommend technologies for the solution.
- Provide strategic input into the evolution of data access, management, and exchange.
- Consult with Information Security team as needed.
- Provide oral and written briefings throughout the project to appraise the Project Manager and management team as to the status of activities, challenges and project risks.
- Adhere to the organizations standards and policies.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a Technical Architect or Technical Lead in at least two, multi-million dollar custom software engineering projects with a healthcare data intensive focus, from solution inception to implementation.
- Proven experience with healthcare system data integration or data exchange projects involving multiple jurisdictions and healthcare data providers.
- Strong Analysis and design skills; excellent understanding of distributed and cloud computing concepts, microservices, RESTful web services, and usage of common design patterns.
Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent experience/education in Computer Science, Mathematics or related discipline.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with architecture modelling tools such as Enterprise Architect, Erwin
- Proven experience with system integrations using different integration paradigms
- Solid exposure to AWS technologies and services
