Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join the team at our Ottawa location.

What you’ll do:
In this role you will be responsible for achieving assigned Sales and Orders objectives for applicable Eaton products and services, focusing on key existing and target accounts within the Ottawa markets. You'll also manage all aspects of the customer relationship, providing sales and technical assistance to distributors, customers, contractors, and consultants, to drive sustainable sales growth.
Essential Functions Include:
- Sales – Implement sales plans and growth strategies, to achieve annual performance objectives. Prepare sales proposals and value propositions to satisfy customer needs and expectations. Understand, and be responsive to, market conditions and competitive activities; Communicate such information internally to drive corrective actions and inform Regional & District strategies. Promote Eaton products and services to optimize sales volume, product mix, and profitability.
- Collaboration – Achieve team Orders and Sales goals. Maintain co-operative and credible working relationships with internal personnel, to consistently exceed customer expectations.
- Customer Relationships – Cultivate customer, channel, and internal relationships. Develop bid strategies and quotations for customers using price and delivery guidelines, applying sound business decisions to enhance sales volume and margins. In addition, focus on business development with new customers and/or new market segments and grow Eaton's specification position with consultants in the Ottawa market.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- College diploma or university degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3 years sales experience
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Candidates must reside within 100km of Ottawa, ON to be considered.
- Candidates must be able to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering Technology, Power Systems Engineering, Business or related field
- 5 years of technical experience in the electrical industry
- P Eng. or CET designation
