As we grow, we're looking for a Brand Communications Manager to lead our voice across PR, social media, influencer, and content channels—driving brand awareness, engagement, and community connection.

Role Overview The Brand Communications Manager is a strategic, creative, out of the box and collaborative communicator who will oversee all brand-facing communication touchpoints—from earned media and social platforms to influencer programs and brand events.

This role will manage and mentor two team members: a Social Media Coordinator and an Influencer & Events Specialist, ensuring smooth execution of content, campaigns, and activations that align with our brand story and growth goals.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management · Manage and mentor a growing communications team (social and influencer), providing clear direction, structure, and support.

· Prioritize and assign projects, ensuring deadlines and KPIs are met.

· Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented team culture that encourages innovation and accountability.

Brand & PR Communications · Managed relationship with our PR agency

· Develop and lead communication strategies to build DESIGNME’s brand equity.

· Manage media relations and outreach: write and distribute press releases, pitch to media, coordinate seeding and PR mailers.

· Cultivate relationships with key editors, writers, and PR partners in the beauty and lifestyle space.

· Lead brand messaging around seasonal launches, campaigns, and partnerships.

Social Media Strategy

· Oversee the development and execution of the organic social content calendar across all platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Linkedin,

· Collaborate with the Social Media Coordinator and creative team on content that is trend-aware, engaging, and aligned with DESIGNME’s voice and goals.

· Guide platform-specific strategies that prioritize growth, engagement, and conversion.

· Monitor community sentiment and support timely, on-brand interactions.

Influencer Marketing & Brand Activations

· Guide the strategy and execution of influencer campaigns, gifting programs, and brand collaborations.

· Work with the Influencer & Events Specialist to build authentic partnerships that deliver brand awareness and UGC.

· Oversee in-person and virtual events, pop-ups, and media/influencer activations.

· Track and report on campaign performance, ensuring strong ROI and alignment with brand objectives.

Qualifications · 3 to 4 years of experience in brand communications, PR, or social media, ideally in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle.

· Experience managing a small team or direct reports is a plus

· Strong track record of media placements and press relationships.

· Deep knowledge of social media, influencer strategy, and digital content trends.

· Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.

· Highly organized with strong project and people management abilities.

· Passion for beauty, haircare, and building community around a brand.

· Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
