Our team specializes in the design of world class transportation facilities and sports and entertainment venues. The central hub of Toronto’s office brings together innovation, creativity, and a commitment to architectural excellence. The team is dedicated to shaping the urban and suburban landscapes throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Our region delivers exceptional design solutions that elevate functionality and create spaces that inspire, engage, and bring people together.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, from initial opportunity identification, assessment and strategy formulation to final submission and presentation, ensuring alignment with client requirements, project objectives, and firm standards.
  • Help to conduct market research on specific clients and their business objectives to better inform targeted proposal material development.
  • Manage and update the region’s project data sheets, resumes, and marketing materials.
  • Maintain Oracle Opportunities database and ensure all proposal activity is recorded in the system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including architects, designers, and project managers, to create compelling proposals, marketing materials, presentations, and project case studies highlighting A49’s portfolio and expertise.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in architecture, design, and marketing, and integrate relevant insights into our marketing material/ proposals. Work collaboratively with other proposal team members across the country and work serve as a resource for students and other young professionals to help them gain marketing experience.

Qualifications

  • Degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or equivalent experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including editing and proofreading abilities
  • Experience working in a deadline-driven, team-oriented environment
  • Strong organizational, time management, and technical skills
  • Experience in writing and storytelling
  • Preference given to candidates with 5+ years experience
  • Previous experience in engineering, architectural, or professional services firms is considered an asset
  • Understanding of graphic design principles and use of Adobe Creative suite (InDesign)
  • Bilingual (English and French) is considered an asset
