Your Opportunity Reporting to the Manufacturing Plant Director, the Senior Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring that all production activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards. This role involves managing a team of production workers, cell leaders, Supervisors and coordinating with other departments, and implementing strategies to improve productivity and quality.

Wage – $32/hr to $48/hr based on industry experience Shift – Tuesday to Friday 6:00am-4:30pm Ability to travel between all sites(Milton, Georgetown and Brampton) is required Main Duties & Responsibilities Strategic Support and Leadership:

  • Provide comprehensive support to the Manufacturing Plant Director by overseeing the Production Team and ensuring strategic objectives are met in alignment with company goals.
  • Ensure adherence to 5S principles throughout the facility.
  • Support new product development and continuous improvement by integrating tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) into processes.
  • Provide cost analysis as required by senior plant management.

Production Oversight And Reporting

  • Maintain required hourly output and promptly inform management if targets are not met or at risk.
  • Monitor changes to the assembly process to ensure they are fully and correctly implemented and report any concerns to management.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy by reporting discrepancies in component quantities and notifying management of potential shortages.
  • Manage manufacturing employees, line workers, and other staff; recommend optimal staffing levels and schedules.

Quality Control And Process Improvement

  • Develop systems to evaluate, score, and implement manufacturing business system process improvements.
  • Consult with Quality Assurance staff and engineers on quality issues; evaluate the overall QA performance of the manufacturing unit.
  • Monitor and implement changes to assembly components or products for efficiency, quality, and adherence to work instructions.
  • Improve production standards through time studies and other standard data development methods.
  • Ensure assembly procedures are followed and determine work assignments.
  • Ensure inspections of materials, products, or equipment are complete to detect defects or malfunctions.
  • Ensure first offs are correct by accurately measuring and inspecting products.

Team Development And Management

  • Ensure one assistant is always trained to take over the Cell Leader’s position in case of absence.
  • Ensure all team members are fully trained for all positions within the cell and have trained backups available.
  • Assist in training line workers in problem-solving techniques and on-the-spot production troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with the director to resolve weaknesses in skills and ability.
  • Manage employee performance as necessary.
  • Assess employee training and development needs, identify personal growth opportunities, and provide coaching and motivation to help individuals achieve their goals.

Resource And Equipment Management

  • Monitor material levels to prevent downtime due to lack of product, ensuring all necessary assembly hardware, metal components, and wiring components are available.
  • Manage and ensure the inspection of drives, motors, belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and performing other actions to maintain and repair equipment, following the company's Preventative Maintenance Policy.

Compliance And Standards Enforcement

  • Observe work and monitor indicators to ensure team members conform to production or processing standards.
  • Review production operations and resolve any problems, conferring with other departments or senior management.
  • Create and maintain production and manufacturing documentation.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with local and national standards and legislation.
  • Collaborate with various coordinators and advisors on production and incident/accident investigation reporting.

You Have

  • High School/G.E.D. required, post-secondary technical education preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience managing in a manufacturing environment and leading team.
  • Knowledge in manufacturing and a background in brazing, refrigeration, appliance or similar industry is an asset
  • Strong demonstrated experience in Lean, Kaizen and or /Six Sigma is desired.
  • Operational knowledge in the areas of: Environmental Health and Safety, WSIB, and Employment Standards
  • Excellent interpersonal communication with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leader with experience managing within a Manufacturing organization, able to motivate teams and drive accountability.
  • Organized and detail oriented, and adaptable to change.
