About the role

CGC Inc. is a leading marketer, manufacturer and distributor of gypsum wallboard products, interior finishing material and suspended acoustic ceilings. CGC Inc. is currently recruiting a Sales Representative for our Sales team in Quebec based in Quebec City. It's a permanent and full-time position, offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their sales and technical abilities.

Position Summary This is a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their selling and customer service skills in a fast-paced sales environment. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for promotion, sales and service of our products to dealers, distributors and contractors

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Increase sales by coordinating and executing training with store associates/service teams on CGC products, thereby increasing name recognition, product knowledge and CGC loyalty.
  • With a passion for customer service and commitment to follow through, the Sales Representative is responsible for growing sales volumes by building relationships and providing the required support to dealers, distributors and contractors.
  • Key in this effort will be influencing customer loyalty by delivering a high level of customer service via proactive customer contact, industry knowledge and networking, product training, deep technical product knowledge, large project coordination, job quotes and prompt complaint resolution.
  • Developing strong relationships with internal departments including marketing, distribution, customer service and accounting is also critical for success in this role.
  • The Sales Representative works within general guidelines and procedures, exercising independent judgment while being committed to safety, quality, reliability and customer service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, public speaking and customer service skills. Bilingual French / English required.
  • 1-3 years customer service / sales experience; preferably within the home improvement, building materials or construction industry.

  • Must be a people and results-oriented individual who incorporates and emphasizes safety and quality in all aspects of the daily work environment.
  • Must demonstrate proven success at working independently with a sense of urgency and high level of customer focus.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Overnight travel is required to effectively cover sales territory.
