This position is for a Revenue Accountant based out of downtown Toronto.
About the role
As a Revenue Accountant within our REMS team, you'll play a pivotal role in recording tenant receivable activity to the appropriate accounting system of record. Using office automated systems to input data, generate reports, conduct specialized research projects, and respond to inquiries. This is an opportunity to leverage your expertise to help us lead our industry into the future.
As a Revenue Accountant, you are responsible for:
- Communicating and collaborating effectively with all stakeholders.
- Coordinating cash management activities.
- Producing receivable reports and meeting regularly with operational staff to assist with the analysis and resolution of tenant issues related to accounts receivable.
- Reviewing monthly sub-ledgers (i.e. tenant A/R aging, security deposits, prepaid rents).
- Preparing and reconciling tenant chargebacks.
- Reviewing lease agreements and amendments for accurate billings.

What you’ll bring
- Post-secondary education in accounting or business.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of progressive accounts receivable or accounting experience.
- Experience with high volume accounts receivable departments.
- Experience with Excel, Word and other accounting software (YARDI preferred).
- Excellent customer service approach.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills.
