About the opportunity:
We’re looking for an experienced project manager to work in the custom fulfillment group and interface with both internal engineering and design groups and as a primary interface with customers to accurately identify, estimate, and precisely capture current and proposed project activities from a project perspective. The project manager leads the project teams to follow project management standards, policies, and principles and will work with functional managers and other team members to meet the project/program objectives within quality, time and budget targets, and will identify, capture, and mitigate the associated risks as well as post project summaries.

In Canada the position will be hybrid based in Kitchener, ON (3 days onsite/2 days remote)
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and maintain project schedules capturing all project-based activities
- Often functions as a significant interface with the customer’s project management team and is one of the primary direct interfaces with the customer.
- Provide relevant expertise / recommendations to the project team or assignment
- Attend / facilitate meetings (often remotely, but may be asked to travel occasionally) to extract project activities, status, and risks
- Identify activity gaps and lead team to expand activities to address gaps
- Resource load and schedule all project activities in conjunction with project team input
- Create and maintain risk register, develop risk mitigation plans, and work with project team members to incorporate into overall program plan.
- Lead future project scoping activities (develop generic resource loaded project / program schedule, budget, and risk register) using established best practices.
- Utilize and develop as necessary standard templates and structures for each project
- Continuous process improvement
- Manage and deliver project within the assigned budget and timeline

The experience and skills we value:
- This position requires relevant technical and construction experience working with theme parks and/or large and complex corporate and professional customers.
- Project Management specific tools (MS Project, MS Office proficiency)
- Skills training in business finance/accounting, budgeting, and leadership
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering/Applied Science/Applied Technology with 7+ years of relevant engineering or project management experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills with ability to communicate accurately and concisely
- High attention to detail
What will put you ahead:
- PMP certified strongly preferred
- Engineering background preferred and ability to work cross functionally to achieve successful completion of projects
- The ideal candidate will have an understanding of large scale projection and direct view display technologies
