Position Description

As the Quality Assurance Specialist – Industrial Manufacturing, you’ll play a pivotal role in upholding and enhancing the integrity of our client’s quality programs. Reporting to the site Quality Manager, you’ll be a trusted voice in product quality and continuous improvement, with direct influence over manufacturing excellence, customer satisfaction, and cost optimization.

You won’t just be maintaining a system—you’ll be shaping it. This is a high-impact role where your insights will drive real improvements in product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational performance. You’ll be empowered to lead projects, make decisions, and help build a world-class quality culture from the ground up.

  • Champion root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions for process and material issues.
  • Spearhead preventive action initiatives and ensure long-term system health.
  • Lead cross-functional containment and resolution of non-conformances, working across teams and locations.
  • Build and manage customer-aligned Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and secure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Design and roll out comprehensive quality control plans across the facility.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on reducing COPQ and elevating customer experience.
  • Act swiftly to address internal and customer quality concerns, ensuring prompt resolution and prevention.
  • Prepare for and participate in internal, vendor, and third-party audits with confidence and precision.
  • Oversee supplier-related quality issues, deviations, and document control processes.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing setting is a MUST, with exposure to API, ISO, ASME, and inspection/welding/machining standards.
  • Proven experience with ISO 90012015 QMS and familiarity with NQA-1, N299, and 10CFR-50B programs.

Qualifications

  • Industrial manufacturing experience is a MUST.
  • Working knowledge of ASME codes is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis, statistical process control, FAI development, and quality engineering techniques.
  • Confidence interpreting engineering drawings and using mechanical inspection tools
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly engineered environment.
  • Fluent in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access).
  • Practical understanding of key product quality disciplines welding, NDE, heat treatment, coatings, painting, and more.
  • NDE certifications and pump/pressure vessel experience are considered strong assets.

Education

Degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
