What you’ll do – The opportunity

Description:

The Delivery Driver position is an hourly role within a unionized environment, responsible for delivering beer across the Lower Mainland while providing exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will report directly to the Warehouse Supervisors. Schedule is 4 x 10-hour shifts. Starting wage: $35.43/hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver beer (kegs and packaged) to and pick up empties from licensee accounts (heavy lifting is required)
  • Organize and load a trailer according to a specific delivery schedule
  • Securing contents to avoid damage or breakage to our products during transport
  • Fill out necessary reports and documentation as required, in accordance with Company procedures and government regulations
  • Maintain a clean and safe vehicle and report any vehicle deficiencies to Supervisor
  • Load and unload delivery trucks as required
  • Perform all assigned duties in a safe, efficient, and productive manner
  • Other warehouse duties as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 19 years
  • Minimum 3 years delivery driver experience
  • Valid Class 1 or 3 driver's license with air brake endorsement; a Class 1 license would be considered an asset
  • Must provide a clean driver's abstract
  • Customer service/delivery experience an asset
  • Electric walkie pallet jack certified
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to develop positive customer relationships
  • Dedication to customer service
  • Physically fit and able to perform repetitive heavy lifting
  • Daily keg (approx. 140 lbs) total may exceed 50
  • Strong organizational/time management skills
  • Knowledge of beer dispensing system an asset
  • Willing to work shift work and some overtime as required
