Location: Brentwood Care Centre, 2727 16 Ave NW, Calgary, AB T2N 3Y6

Unit Types: Behavioural Support Unit

Position Type: Casual positions with open availability is required.

Salary: Based on experience, a minimum of $39.21/hour

Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the provision of nursing care to facility customers

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining individual plans of care based on desired customer needs

  • Ensures implementation of the care plan and evaluates the outcomes of the care plans

  • Leads by example, mentoring, empowering, delegating and supporting LPNs and Health Care Aides in a team-focused environment

  • Adheres to policies, procedures and work routines

  • Ensures a safe and clean working environment

  • Works in partnership to improve the performance of individuals, teams and the organization in providing improved customer service for residents, guests and staff

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the CARNA or CRPNA

  • Previous experience in Palliative care preferred

  • Ability to provide effective leadership, motivation and innovation within an interdisciplinary team

  • Must demonstrate a good knowledge of nursing theory and practices within a continuing care environment

  • Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language
