Our Yellowknife office is currently seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join our growing Financial Services team in Yellowknife. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Service the successful candidate will be responsible for effectively managing multiple clients across a wide range of industries, our accounting technicians are responsible for full cycle accounting and supporting clients with all their financial matters so they can focus on growing their business.
Our ideal teammates are self-motivated, well organized, detailed oriented, eager to tackle challenges, and have exceptional time management and interpersonal skills. Applicants must have a good understanding of full cycle bookkeeping and be able to work semi-independently.
The Role
- Accounts payable & accounts receivable
- Payroll processing and administration
- Bank, credit card and account reconciliations
- Preparation of regulatory filings
- Month end file processing
What you will bring

College Diploma or Certificate in Accounting

Minimum 2-3 years bookkeeping experience

Proficient with QuickBooks & Sage 50

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Knowledge of Xero and payroll software would also be an asset
