Family Practice ROS (100-2292)

Three Cedars MD is seeking applications from BC licensed family physicians to join this newly established clinic in Sidney (Vancouver Island), on a fee for service, new to practice contract, or longitudinal FP payment model. Located in one of the best climates in Canada you can enjoy a wonderful quality of life here. Sidney by the sea is well-known for its bookstores, walkable downtown and seaside location - all only 20 minutes from services in Greater Victoria!

  • EMR | Input health, may be changing to Myle
  • Average daily patient volume | 30
  • Optional | hospital privileges, ACLS, obstetrics, house calls, ER work, ATLS
  • Required | Telephone on-call
  • Compensation: FFS, new payment model or New-to-practice contract

  • Each physician has 2 exam rooms and an MOA
  • Physicians share a bright spacious personal office. Work is done on laptop taken between rooms. The clinic provides teaching of UBC Family Practice residents.

Newly renovated, bright office space with nine very large exam rooms, full-time registered nurse, in-clinic PCN pharmacist, cheerful and efficient medical office assistants. Spacious separate physician work area for charting and telehealth. In-office recently certified autoclave. Shower and free parking.

Start Date:

1 July 2026

Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 am -5 pm

Remuneration:

  • Fee for Service, LFP and NTP (if approved by PCN and MoH)

Overhead:

  • Fixed monthly amount based on equal share of shared costs. Presently $75,000/year + GST.

Community Information:

The town of Sidney, population 11,600, located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, is approximately 20 kilometers north of British Columbia's capital, Victoria. Several elementary, middle and secondary schools, including French immersion, are available in the area.

With its mild climate, the community is a well-known tourist destination offering pursuits ranging from exploring the Ocean Discovery Centre and a historical museum, to water-related activities such as sailing, kayaking, diving, fishing and whale watching. For those preferring to stay on land, Sidney also offers a pedestrian friendly downtown that includes coffee shops, bookstores, restaurants serving local food, and many special town events, like the Sidney Market and the Sidney Fine Arts Show.

Sidney is home to the Swartz Bay BC Ferry Terminal and the Sidney / US (Anacortes, WA) Ferry Terminal, and is in proximity to the Victoria International Airport.
