About the Opportunity:
The Instructional Designer works with the Knowledge Management and Training (KMT) team to support the development and dissemination of training materials. The Instructional Designer reports to the AD Knowledge Management and is responsible for coordinating, supporting, and delivering training programs. This role is focused on creating training materials that support the WES processes, operations and business strategy, undertaking LMS administrative duties and supporting trainings, working groups and transformation activities.
What You'll Do:
- Develop training materials using Articulate Rise and Storyline and other software as appropriate.
- Work with KMT colleagues to transform instructor-led trainings to hybrid and self-paced via storyboards.
- Align instructional materials with clearly defined learning objectives and outcomes
- Drive collaboration and outcomes with SMEs on review, edits and updates to self-paced modules to develop and implement trainings.
- Continue to learn about and demonstrate implementation of the best practices in instructional design and e-learning
- Leverage AI practices and tools to enable content creation
- Curriculum development in collaboration with KMT management
- Create blended training solutions.
- Review materials to ensure that they follow best training practices, and are accessible, engaging and consistent.
- Develop training activities such as instructor-led and self-paced practice exercises and quizzes
- Implement evaluation model to assess the effectiveness of training programs and interventions
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of instructional materials through formative and summative assessment techniques
- Provide support for internal and external training sessions in Zoom, Teams, etc.
- Support the dissemination of training materials and reporting via the Learning Management System (currently UKGPro).
- Support Transformation efforts such as training and working groups.
Your Experience:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications
- 3+ years of instructional design experience in a fast-paced environment
- High degree of technical aptitude and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience of creating, assigning and tracking completion of e-learning modules using Articulate, PowerPoint, and LMS integration leveraging AI best practices
- Proficiency in virtual-training facilitation and production in platforms such as Zoom, Teams, etc.
- Experience working under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Commitment to applying best practices in accessibility and inclusive instructional design in accordance with organization-wide policy once this is shared
- Assess the effectiveness of training modules and develop improvements and solutions Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and quality
- Interest in international educational systems.
