About the role

Primary Qualifications: (MUST READ before applying)

  • Must be flexible on WEEKENDS/ OK to work shorter shifts (3 hours)
  • Availability on Weekends is MUST.
  • Willingness to travel to clients location (within and outside Waterloo Region)

Job Brief:

Promyse Home Care is looking for caring, formally trained and experienced Personal Support Worker(s) to provide support for our clients in a professional and compassionate manner.

Ideal candidate would be patient and friendly with good interpersonal skills and can perform variety of tasks to support clients. Often requires you to be available for most of the day and week.

Duties/Responsibilities:

In order to provide premium care to all of our client, all candidates must be willing and able to:

  • Provide Personal Care to clients (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
  • Cook (Prepare meals based on the client care plan)
  • Clean (Mop, Laundry, Clean Kitchen/Dishes)
  • Home support
  • Companionship
  • Appointment accompaniment

Other Job Qualifications:

  • Dedication and passion to work as a PSW is a MUST
  • Pleasing personality and compassionate

Must be living in Ontario Canada , preferably near in the following locations:

  • Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge  - Willingness to serve clients throughout Waterloo Region.

Required : Must be a certified PSW or international nurse

  • Must have a vehicle and driver's license or a reliable vehicle for transportation
  • Experience with Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson's, etc. is preferred
  • Criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 6 months)
  • Current CPR Training (not expired)
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray result
  • COVID Vaccination (Completely vaccinated - 2 doses)
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills
  • Personal cell phone with a mobile data plan.
  • Willing to visit 1-3 clients locations/day
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years paid work experience providing seniors or disabled adults with care
  • Willing to start to work immediately (within 1-7 days)

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Paid PSW work experience in Canada: 1 year (preferred)

  • Driver's license and have own automobile to drive to work? (preferred)
