Cyclone Manufacturing (A Mubea Aviation Company) is a vertically integrated full-service provider of 3-5 axis machining, sheet metal fabrication, tube bending, welding and minor sub-assemblies of aerospace structural components to the largest aerospace companies such as Boeing, AIDC, Bombardier, Embraer, FACC, GE, IAI, Liebherr, Lockheed Martin, MHI, SAAB, Stelia, Spirit AeroSystems and Triumph Aerostructures. Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and inspecting CNC machines to produce high-quality components according to tight specifications. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines to produce precision parts.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
- Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, and/or CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
- Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Lead setup and troubleshooting of complex jobs and collaborate with engineers on process improvements.
- Mentor and train junior machinists and assist with workload prioritization.
- Maintain safe work practices and adhere to all safety and quality standards.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Optimize machining parameters to increase productivity and tool life.
Qualifications:
- Red Seal Machinist Certification
- 5–10 years of CNC machining experience, preferably in a high-precision or aerospace/manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, materials, tooling, and cutting conditions.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and understanding GD&T.
- Experience with CNC programming (G-code and CAM software).
- Ability to use a wide range of inspection tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
