The ideal candidate for this position is a passionate and engaged cook and with a love of food. You will have had some previous experience in cooking preferably in the Italian landscape and capable of taking direction well and multi-tasking effectively. You thrive in a busy production team and are a positive role model of professionalism.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Prep and assemble ingredients for production

· Collaborate with the parallel departments to ensure production needs are met

· Be a team player and show strong morale for team-work within the culinary team.

· Develop and plan menus and daily specials along with the team

· Manage time well, and ensure prep lists are executed efficiently

· Manage inventory

· Maintain all standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.

· Ensure compliance with applicable health codes and regulations.

· Follow stablished maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas.

· Rotate stock items as per established procedures

· Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts

· Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift

REQUIREMENTS

· Be an excellent communicator

· Be passionate about food and food history

· Have at least 2 years of professional cooking or baking experience

Summary

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
