Urbacon is offering a unique opportunity for a dynamic, driven early-career professional—ideally a recent graduate or someone with 1–3 years’ work experience who thrives on building relationships and loves a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

As our Business Development Associate, you will:

  • Work side-by-side with Directors of Business Development and the Vice President, Marketing & Business Development, for on-the-job experience and mentorship.

  • Attend industry events, networking evenings, and social functions, building connections with emerging leaders in architecture, design, and consulting.

  • Collaborate with our experienced proposal team to help develop winning submissions and presentations.

  • Proactively call on and foster relationships with junior designers, architects, and potential clients.

  • Learn the ins and outs of the construction and real estate industry from the ground up—no previous sector experience required!

  • Assist with market outreach strategies, event planning, and maintaining business development resources.

What We’re Looking For

  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative; a “go-getter” attitude matters most!

  • University or college education (all majors welcome; business, marketing, communications, or related fields an asset).

  • 1–3 years of work experience in a sales, marketing, customer-facing, or client engagement role (internships count).

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable attending events, making introductions, and developing a professional network.

  • Team-oriented but able to work independently when required.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
