About the Position
The Maintenance Electrician would report to the Manager of Utilities.
The responsibilities would include inspection, repair, and maintain Lethbridge Polytechnic’s electrical systems.
The equipment/responsibilities of this position are:
-
high voltage loops
-
transformers
-
all building electrical
-
fire alarm systems
-
lighting
-
emergency generators and transfer switches
-
disconnect switches
-
respond to work order requests
-
some projects. For example, IMP lighting and project management.
Position Details
-
Maintain work to the campus buildings electrical systems.
-
Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs of the fire alarm system, emergency plants, emergency lighting and other safety equipment.
-
Install electrical equipment on campus renovation projects.
-
Perform inspections, repairs and scheduled maintenance of the high voltage loop.
-
On-call rotation would be a requirement.
Required Qualifications
-
Journeyman’s Electrician Ticket with minimum 3 years experience with knowledge of electrical systems and maintenance programs.
Preferred Qualifications
Salary
AUPE Class Level 11 Step 1 $64,985.12 to Step 5 $76,870.35 per annum.
