About the role
Job Purpose As the Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing product information while building and maintaining relationships with customers and ensuring high customer satisfaction. These responsibilities include but are not limited to addressing and resolving customer complaints, reviewing orders, preparing sales plans, monitoring inventories, and providing administrative support. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for adhering to Conestoga Meats' core values through day-to-day interactions.

Key Job Functions / Roles / Responsibilities
- Maintain daily contact with customers to solicit order requirements, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement
- Review and process standing and new orders and offers daily (fresh and frozen)
- Data entry for internal/external customers (customer orders and offers, employee orders, donation orders, etc.)
- Ensure customer account contact information is up to date (price sheets, call sheets, etc.)
- Ensure the sales binders are up to date (Standing orders, future orders, etc.)
- Monitor daily volume and inventories versus forecasts
- Preparation and maintenance of required customer credit notes and customer complaint forms/process
- Maintain accurate records of pricing and sales for customers
- Provide support for the development of proposals and presentations
- Provide support/backup for account managers (shorts, order entries, warehouse movements, book tours, etc.)
- Generate and monitor daily sell list and rotation list
- Maintain and create necessary reports (short report, closing sales report, etc.)
- Run daily pick tickets and prepare for shipping
- Adhere to all company policies and business code of ethics

- Attend company-required training
- Remain current with technical knowledge in areas of responsibility
- Attend regular 1:1 coaching/update sessions
Qualifications
- Team player
- Minimum 2 years of customer service/sales experience
- College diploma or greater
- Experience in the meat industry is an asset
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
- Strong data entry/management skills with a focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and prioritization
- Independent worker with the ability to learn quickly
- Experienced in Microsoft Office, with a minimum of intermediate-level Excel knowledge
