We are a well-established college with nearly 10 years of experience in offering the Food Service Worker program. We are looking for a passionate and experienced instructor to join our team and teach our Food Service Worker program. This course focuses on food, nutrition, and creating dietary charts to support diverse student needs.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and teach our 4-month Food Service Worker program, covering essential topics such as nutrition, food safety, and dietary planning.
- Deliver online classes, with the option for one in-person session during the course.
- Create, update, and manage course materials such as lesson plans, assignments, and assessments.
- Provide student support throughout the program and assist with placement opportunities.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
- Collaborate with the college to receive feedback and continuously improve the course content.
- There is potential for involvement in additional curriculum development, depending on performance.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working in Canadian healthcare dietary aid or food service.
- Previous teaching experience is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of food service, nutrition, and dietary planning.
- Someone who is comfortable working with and teaching a diverse group of students.
- A flexible schedule, as classes are offered both in the morning and evening.
- Ontario-based, with the ability to attend at least one in-person class session.
