The Assistant Clinic Manager, also known as the RMT Clinic Supervisor, plays a vital role in overseeing both the operational and educational aspects of our Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) student clinic. This position ensures smooth clinic operations while providing high-quality instruction, supervision, and mentorship to students.
The successful candidate will balance administrative duties with direct student supervision and contribute to maintaining professional standards aligned with program requirements and regulatory bodies such as PTIB and PTIRU BC.
Key Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
- Arrive early to prepare for clinic shifts, including gathering student logbooks and completing attendance and professionalism records.
- Model and enforce professional attire, hygiene, and conduct standards.
- Conduct instructional tutorials on clinical skills and professionalism.
- Coordinate shift changes with fellow supervisors and communicate updates to the Clinic Manager and Finance Office.
- Monitor and document student attendance, punctuality, behavior, and adherence to clinic policies.
- Review client health information with students to ensure safe and effective treatment.
- Provide support and guidance to students during treatments, ensuring client confidentiality and safety.
- Manage student engagement during cancellations, no-shows, and empty bookings.
- Exercise authority to modify or stop treatments when safety concerns arise.
- Assist reception staff with professionalism, noise control, and administrative tasks like reminder calls and cash-out procedures.
- Conduct end-of-shift debriefs with students to provide feedback and support learning.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) or relevant clinical/healthcare background preferred.
- Knowledge of and compliance with PTIB (Private Training Institutions Branch) and PTIRU (Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit) regulations for clinic management in BC.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Previous experience in a clinical or academic setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and provide mentorship in a learning environment.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

- Nelson, BC V1L 3K3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Clinical : 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- RMT certification (preferred)
