Summary LetsStopAIDS is a Canadian youth-HIV charity that focuses on HIV prevention and knowledge exchange by engaging young people and fostering leadership. Since 2004, we have been creating a global network of youth-HIV leaders.
LetsStopAIDS has an exciting volunteer opportunity for a confident, results-driven professional to join our National team. The Research Lead will be under the direction of the National Manager.
Responsibilities
- You will serve as the link between the Research team and LetsStopAIDS’ National Team.
- The Research Team Lead is responsible for coordinating all Research Team activities with the support of the National Manager.
- Other responsibilities include: leading and facilitating all Research team meetings.
- Assigning tasks to team members.
- Following up with team members on tasks.
- Lead and manage a team of researchers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their professional development and productivity.
- Provide strategic direction and vision for the research team, aligning objectives with broader organizational goals.
- Define and communicate clear research objectives, timelines, and deliverables to team members, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of research projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify research priorities, opportunities, and challenges, fostering partnerships and knowledge exchange.
- Analyze research findings, draw insights, and communicate results effectively through reports, presentations, and publications.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the research team.
Qualifications You are a knowledgeable and visionary individual and expertise in quantitative and qualitative research and data analysis. You can motivate a team of Research Analysts toward ambitious goals with clarity and organization. You excel in problem-solving, communication, and collaboration, while upholding ethical standards and embracing innovation. You are an individual with a driving force behind successful research endeavors, guiding the Research team with expertise, leadership, and integrity.
Dedication
This volunteer role will require 5 hours per week, and the successful candidate may choose to work remotely, however, the different tasks involved may sometimes require irregular volunteer hours, particularly in times of need.
