Our innovative solutions harness the power of machine learning, generative AI, and behavioral science to deliver exceptional outcomes and empower care teams to anticipate and resolve issues before they arise.

Our success in rapid scale across the globe is backed by some of the world's leading investors. At Qventus, you will have the opportunity to work with an exceptional, mission-driven team across the globe, and the ability to directly impact the lives of patients. We’re inspired to work with healthcare leaders on our founding vision and unlock world-class medicine through world-class operations.

About The Role We’re looking for a forward-thinking DevOps Manager to lead the transformation of our cloud infrastructure, bringing both technical depth and strategic vision. You’ll own core areas like AWS/Azure infrastructure, Terraform automation, cloud security, and cost governance—while also driving the adoption of GenAI in DevOps and evolving our internal developer platform.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives on modernizing systems, improving developer experience, and building a team culture that blends reliability with AI-powered innovation.

Key Responsibilities Infrastructure & Automation

  • Own and evolve cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure using Terraform and IaC best practices.
  • Lead automation of CI/CD pipelines, provisioning, and configuration workflows.
  • Drive adoption of platform engineering and developer self-service tooling.
  • Apply GenAI to accelerate deployment, generate infra code, and streamline ops.

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure infrastructure meets SOC 2, HIPAA, and internal security requirements.
  • Collaborate with InfoSec to manage IAM, patching, and incident response.
  • Use AI-assisted monitoring to improve threat detection and policy enforcement.

Cloud Cost Optimization

  • Monitor and reduce spend across AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, and Datadog.
  • Build tools for cost forecasting and team-level accountability.
  • Align cost strategy with business goals using data-driven, AI-enhanced models.

Developer Enablement

  • Improve CI/CD speed, stability, and ease of use across the engineering org.
  • Measure and improve delivery metrics (e.g., deployment frequency, MTTR).
  • Build an internal platform that enables velocity, self-service, and clear feedback loops.

Leadership & Program Management

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing global DevOps team.
  • Drive infrastructure modernization projects in collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Security.
  • Champion a culture of experimentation, learning, and operational excellence.
  • Drive Devops roadmap and alignment with peers

Requirements

  • 7+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Infra roles, including 5+ years leading teams.
  • Strong AWS expertise.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Terraform and IaC.
  • Strong background in cloud security and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven cost optimization experience across cloud and data platforms.
  • Experience modernizing DevOps workflows and platforms.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

It's a plus if you have

  • Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and container orchestration.
  • Exposure to GenAI tools applied to DevOps, monitoring, or infrastructure workflows.
  • Familiarity with FinOps tools (Finout, CloudHealth, Cost Explorer).
  • Background in regulated industries (healthcare, finance).
  • Experience with internal developer platforms (e.g., Backstage).
  • Some Azure exposure.

Qventus is the leading system for care operations automation.

Building on formative experiences at Stanford and McKinsey, Qventus was founded in 2012 with the belief that world-class healthcare requires world-class operations. With backing from leading investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, Norwest Venture Partners, and the Mayfield Fund, the company has raised more than $45M to develop a complete system for transforming the operations of health systems and hospitals nationwide.

Integrating with EHRs, the Qventus real-time automation platform uses AI and behavioral science to power best practice solutions for operational challenges in inpatient, ED, perioperative, and command center settings. To operationalize the software, the Qventus Expert Services helps establish governance, deploy the solutions, and drive change management.

Qventus is a proven partner with hundreds of deployments in community hospitals, academic medical centers, and large health systems across the country, including Bon Secours Mercy Health, CommonSpirit Health, HonorHealth, M Health Fairview, and Saint Luke's Health System. With Qventus, these systems have been able to achieve significant and sustained outcomes, including 30-50% fewer excess days, 1 full day reduction in length of stay, and over 2 new cases added per operating room per month, translating to over $10 million dollars of annual financial value per facility.

Qventus has been recognized by Black Book Market Research as #1 in Client Satisfaction for Patient Flow Solutions and has received accolades from the UCSF Digital Health Awards, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and Fast Company's World Changing Ideas.
