Personal Support Worker - Full-time, Richmond Hill area
About the role
We are looking for a Personal Support Worker to work in a home setting in Richmond Hill area (near King Rd).
This is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week.

Scope and Responsibilities
- Provide companionship to the client through initiating conversation, small table activities, etc.
- Provide emotional support by listening to their needs, being attentive to the client's likes and dislikes, providing encouragement and reassurance to promote social interaction.
- Ensure client safety is maintained at all times by ensuring falls prevention strategies are implemented.
- Assist client with activities of daily living.
- Monitor changes in behavior, health, and overall well-being.
- Prepare meals for the client and assist with feeding.
- Assist with light housekeeping such as washing the dishes, keeping rooms tidy, etc.
Who We Are Looking For
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) Diploma from an accredited institution
- NACC certificate if credentials were obtained from a private career college
- Has a valid First Aid and CPR certificate
- Has a recent Police Clearance for employment
- Has 2-5 years of experience as a PSW working with patients with Alzheimer's
