Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Oracle DBA to join our team in Canada. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of hands-on experience in managing, tuning, and supporting large-scale Oracle database environments. This role requires advanced expertise in Oracle DB architecture, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and database security.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Oracle database systems (11g/12c/19c) across development, test, and production environments.
• Perform database performance monitoring, optimization, and capacity planning.
• Manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, and GoldenGate configurations.
• Plan and execute database backups, recovery strategies, patching, and upgrades.
• Ensure database security, user access controls, and data integrity.
• Troubleshoot database issues, resolve incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for database design and support.
• Document processes, configurations, and SOPs for internal knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with Oracle technologies, trends, and best practices.

Requirements Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of Oracle DBA experience in production environments.
• Expertise in Oracle 11g/12c/19c, Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
• Strong command over SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle performance tuning techniques.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and automation tools.
• Proven track record in backup & recovery using RMAN.
• Good knowledge of database security practices and compliance.
• Experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS RDS for Oracle) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or related certifications.
• Experience in managing multi-terabyte databases.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix shell scripting.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
