Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Client Services & Application Support the position is responsible for the procurement and administration of all IT software and technology-related hardware.
It also involves supporting the development of procurement strategies to optimize technology expenditures across the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide technical and administrative support to staff and leadership by resolving asset-related incidents, processing procurement transactions, and maintaining accurate records.
- Coordinate IT asset lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of hardware and software assets.
- Maintain and update inventory systems using tools such as SCCM and CMDB, ensuring data accuracy for all IT assets.
- Analyze technical and financial data from systems like ITSM, SAP and SQL to support decision-making and reporting.
- Administer financial transactions and chargebacks related to IT services, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and budget accuracy.
- Support IT projects, including hardware/software rollouts, asset audits, and capital asset reporting.
- Develop and implement asset management strategies aligned with corporate IT standards and procurement policies.
- Generate customized reports and dashboards to support lifecycle planning, audits, and compliance with licensing and warranty agreements.
- Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to manage IT asset orders, contracts, and service agreements.
- Ensure documentation and compliance by maintaining policies, procedures, emergency plans, and audit records for IT asset management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Three (3) year College Diploma in Computer Science or related field.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the IT asset management field with an organisation with over 5000 endpoints
- Technical competence in asset management software and inventory-tracking systems knowledge
- Knowledge of complex vendor software contracts, licensing terminology and software licensing rights
- Knowledge of Budgeting Process and Technology Asset Management practices and procedures.
- Accounting experience.
- ITIL, CSAM, CHAMP or CTAM would be an asset
- Working experience with SAP finance.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SCCM, Active Directory, M365 and ITSM.
