What You'll Do

• Lead diverse open space projects ranging from neighborhood renewals and regional trails to large public parks, streetscapes, plazas, and waterfronts.
• Prepare conceptual and detailed design drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and tender/contract documentation.
• Manage all phases of project delivery including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and construction administration.
• Facilitate public and stakeholder engagement processes.
• Collaborate with a variety of clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team members.
• Travel to project sites (mileage compensated).

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or Environmental Design.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in landscape architecture or a comparable consulting role.
• Registered Landscape Architect with the AALA or other CSLA components, or actively working toward registration.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• PMP designation or project management experience is an asset.
• Experience in public sector or land-based work (e.g., construction, surveying, or maintenance) is a plus.

💡 Skills We're Looking For

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and PDF editing software.
• Strong hand graphics and visualization tools like SketchUp, Lumion, Land F/X, ArcGIS/QGIS are assets.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of local ecosystems, plant species, construction standards, and municipal processes.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines with attention to detail and quality.
• Familiarity working with Alberta municipalities, including the Cities of Edmonton and Calgary.
