General Labor – Level II (Receiving)
Location : Ville Saint-Laurent, QC
The potential candidate will be in charge of different general warehouse activities which include, but are not limited to the following tasks:
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for manual loading and unloading of freight using a pallet jack or hand truck
- Move materials and items from the receiving zone to storage or to their designated areas
- Check incoming shipments and verify unloading sheets
- Sort containers by style, color and size
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the Distribution Center at all times
- Ensure proper warehouse procedures, paperwork and/or company’s policies are followed for specific tasks
- Ensure the safety of the warehouse that comply with Health & Safety standards
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- 1 year experience working in a distribution center
- Must have demonstrated experience with RF scanners
- Often required to lift up to 50 pounds
- Often required to perform manual work (i.e. bending, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, etc.)
- Good knowledge of English and/or French, written and spoken
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Flexibility to work on different tasks during the day, as needed
- Experience with E-commerce orders / Retail / Wholesale – an asset
