About the role

SKILLS is a progressive community-based agency which provides a range of support to people with disabilities.

The search is on for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and experienced Full-time Female Team Leader to provide strong mentorship and leadership to a diverse, committed, and caring staffing team. This is a contract postion until March 3, 2026. This programme is in the Heritage Valley community. Each person has different needs. We are looking for people with flexibility and ingenuity. You will be caring for people with engaged and involved families. Community access is at the core of our supports. One on one supports, and personal care are required. This position offers 40 hrs a week. Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:00pm with some flexibility based on the needs of the Individuals. The successful candidate will need strong collaborative and communication abilities.

Strong documentation skills, and leadership experience will be considered an asset. As a Team leader you will be expected to perform administrative tasks. Strong computer skills understanding of payroll and documentation skills are required. Addictions experience would be very helpful. Experience with diabetes care will be considered an asset. All applicants must have a vehicle. The focus of this position will be to help all of the individuals access the community to do the things they enjoy.

A Vehicle is required, along with Adequate Insurance & Clear driver’s Abstract.

The successful applicant must provide a current clear Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector Search current within six months.

Starting wage range for this position is $25.43 to $27.53 per hour and is commensurate with education and experience. SKILLS offers paid in-house training to employees.
