The Galaxyland Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of Galaxyland; including supervising and training of all Ride Operators and Cashiers while maintaining an overview of all aspects of park operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assisting with hiring, supervising, training, disciplining, motivating, and conducting performance evaluations on staff and delegating daily tasks.
• Helping guests and staff with concerns or information of Galaxyland and Admissions policies and procedures.
• Preparing new safety and training manual updates and conducting quality assurance audits.
• Authorizing and approving refunds, voids and complementary passes.
• Advising staff about safety issues, operational updates, and records absenteeism through daily staff roll calls.
• Providing support and performing opening and closing duties (ie: park is orderly, all guests have exited the park, rides/games are shut down, ensuring company property is in working order while being properly stored and secured).
• Maintaining a sound knowledge of services, schedules, rates, regulations and policies of West Edmonton Mall’s Parks and Attractions.
• Ensuring all Cashiers have up to date information regarding West Edmonton Mall’s parks and attractions.
• Organizing staff and providing support for Operations Clerks, Cashiers and Ride Operators.
• Arranging the park for special event bookings when required.
• Other duties as required.

Desired Qualifications

• One (1) to three (3) years previous Supervisory experience with a focus on Customer Service and training.
• Emergency or Standard First Aid certificate is preferred or willing to attend the required training.
• Competence in delegating tasks and works well under pressure.
• Enthusiastic approach to everyday duties including consistent and frequent positive interactions with staff and guests.
• Computer knowledge is required, proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor and a high level of confidence in the workplace with previous experience leading a team.
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills with the ability to work in an ever evolving fast paced environment complemented by the personal capacity to think quickly and respond effectively under pressure.

Terms Of Employment

• This is a part-time position that requires Monday through Sunday availability including days, evenings, weekends and holiday.
• Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
