Responsibilities

  • Increase sales of MSA & GM FGFD products at corporate oil and gas engineering, integrators, OEM’s and EPC firms.

  • Increase sales of MSA & GM FGFD products at municipal wastewater.

  • Manage and partner with manufacturer rep firms to identify growth opportunities, geographical and account coverage.

  • Become familiar with and remain proficient at understanding all aspects of manufacturers’ representatives' business.

  • Employ organizational mapping at accounts in order to gain a better understanding of their operations, key decision makers by region and their approved vendor lists.

  • Derive creative, cost-effective product solutions for our customers.

  • Provide customers with both technical and application information through product demonstrations and seminars.

  • Become familiar with and remain proficient on all product lines within the FGFD product group and eventually serve as product expert or resource.

  • Become familiar with and remain proficient on the features and benefits of MSA and GM products as well as those of competitors to leverage competitive differences to gain sales advantage.

  • Spend 10% of time training/working with Permanent Instrument manufacturers’ representatives and sales team members in the region.

  • Focus 90% of selling time on end users/decision makers at major oil and gas corporate engineering, integrators and EPC firms.

  • Coordinate and prioritize work for effective time and territory management.

  • Interface extensively with operations, customer service, sales, marketing and field service organizations, and with external customers.

  • Provide a high level of customer satisfaction and build customer loyalty within territory for repeat business and revenue growth.

  • Willingness to do 20-30% overnight travel within the assigned sales territory

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated selling and technical skills, including ability to leverage channel pricing strategies.
  • Proven prior experience selling into corporate accounts in the Calgary and Edmonton marketplace.
  • Proven ability to organize and present product and demonstrations to large groups.
  • Proven planning and organizational skills, with the ability to be both a self-starter as well as work compatibly within a team.
  • Demonstrated capabilities of exceeding sales and profitability goals in seeking out new users for MSA/GM products.
  • Strong organization, communication (including written and verbal technical and non-technical), interpersonal and management skills.
  • Creative problem-solving with a customer-based perspective

Education Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience Required:

This position is available at three different career levels based upon experience, education, etc.

  • Level I: 4 years of sales experience
  • Level II: 5 years sales experience
  • Level III: 6 years sales experience
