Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician - Red Seal Certification required- to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in automotive repair. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles while ensuring the highest level of customer service. The Automotive Technician will work with both hand tools and power tools to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on cars and trucks, including oil changes, brake replacements, and tire rotations.
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed for repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed on vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's condition and necessary repairs.
- Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Utilize welding techniques for specific repair tasks when required.
- Assist in training junior technicians or apprentices as needed.
Skills
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools related to automotive repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose complex automotive issues.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients and address their concerns.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Experience with welding is a plus, enhancing repair capabilities on various components.
- Familiarity with assembling parts and systems within vehicles to ensure proper functionality.
- A solid understanding of automotive repair processes, including electrical systems, engines, transmissions, and suspension systems.
- Motor Vehicle Inspection License required.
