Our client is a leading real estate organization with a strong track record of creating exceptional commercial environments across Canada. With decades of experience shaping communities and supporting businesses, they are recognized for their long-term vision, industry leadership, and collaborative culture. They are currently seeking a seasoned leasing professional to support the continued growth of their retail and commercial portfolio. This position will be based in-person at their Toronto, ON office, with frequent travel to properties across the GTA.
About this role:
This is a client-facing position responsible for driving leasing performance across key assets. The successful candidate will take ownership of sourcing new tenants, managing lease renewals, and delivering an exceptional experience through every stage of the leasing process. Working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners, this role is pivotal in shaping strategic plans, negotiating lease agreements, and supporting the long-term value of the portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing tailored leasing strategies across assigned properties
- Building relationships with prospective and existing tenants to meet occupancy goals
- Leading lease negotiations and overseeing the documentation process
- Coordinating with brokers, legal teams, and internal departments to ensure smooth transactions
- Representing the company at industry forums and networking events
- Monitoring budgets and reporting on leasing performance in line with long-range plans
About the candidate:
The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven real estate professional with deep experience in commercial leasing. You are confident in navigating complex negotiations, aligning client needs with business goals, and collaborating across departments. Your communication skills are exceptional, and you thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in commercial leasing or real estate asset management
- Strong grasp of lease structures, client engagement, and retail/office merchandising
- Post-secondary education in business, real estate, or a related field
- Professional designations (e.g., CLS, BOMA) and/or RECO license are strong assets
- High level of financial and business acumen
- Proficiency with leasing tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office suite
Compensation & Benefits:
This role comes with a base salary in the range of CAD $140,000-175,000, along with a performance-based bonus and competitive benefits package. The final offer will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience. We believe in pay equity, fairness and transparency.
