CAREER OPPORTUNITY ~ NIGHT AUDITOR

Position: Night Auditor

Department: Front Desk

Reports To: Night Audit Manager

Position Status: Permanent Seasonal - Year Round.

This position requires a commitment of 1-2 shifts per week, based on operational needs and business levels. There is no guarantee of minimum hours in this role.

Position Summary:

Night Auditors welcome and register guests as they arrive in the hotel on the overnight shift. They work on the Front Desk and are knowledgeable about the Resort and its services to answer guest inquiries. Night Auditors follow processes and guidelines to produce revenue and sales reports. They are also energetic and friendly to welcome guests checking-in late and to solve special requests or any problems that arise. Just like all Horseshoe Resort Colleagues, Night Auditors are responsible for ensuring the health and safety of themselves, fellow colleagues and guests.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and register guests as they arrive and assign them rooms in a professional and pleasant manner
  • Emergency Calls: monitor and respond to the emergency phone lines and follow Health and Safety procedures to take action. (i.e. calling 911 and filling out supporting documentation)
  • Be familiarized with all functions and events occurring in the hotel and on Horseshoe Resort property every day and communicate that to guests upon arrival
  • Become well familiarized with general and special rates, plans, and packages
  • Ensure that all special requests or problems are routed to the appropriate areas and follow up with each accordingly
  • Respond to guest inquiries and give information about Resort and surrounding area
  • Follow the night audit guidelines
  • Set wake up calls
  • Print credit card reports for debit machines
  • Balance internal PM folios
  • Ensure “Close Day” has been successfully completed
  • Maintain float
  • Preparing audit reports for accounting

Qualifications:

  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Previous experience in customer service and cashier roles
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Proven organization and multi tasking skills
  • Working night shift on an irregular, part-time schedule. This position will provide coverage for a full-time Night Auditor on days off, holidays and for special requests.
  • Able to stand on your feet for extended periods of time.
