About the role

Summer (June 30-August 29, 2025)

Term Position, Monday-Friday-up to 40 hours/week

Various Locations:

Elmwood-Kildonan Community Hub, 454 Kimberly Ave.

South Community Hub, 5 Fermor Ave.

West Portage Community Hub, 3550 Portage Ave.

Downtown Community Hub, 301 Vaughan Street

Do you love working with children? Want to help provide a memorable spring break and summer experience for every child? We offer a positive, safe and friendly environment. As a day camp counsellor, you will be a strong role model providing leadership while emphasizing fun, fitness, skill development and health and well-being in a wide variety of activities**.**

Are you the right fit?

  • Enjoy working with children/youth ages 4-16
  • Assist in development/delivery and supervision of children’s programs and activities
  • Ability to lead, encourage and engage camper participation in daily activities
  • Able to build positive relationships and provide ongoing communication/leadership with campers, families, staff and volunteers

What else do you need?

  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • Standard First Aid and CPR C
  • Strong communication and problem solving/decision making skills
  • Experience working with children
