Product Specialist - Dewatering Weir Minerals Mississauga, ON, Canada Hybrid Purpose of Role: As a Product Specialist, you’ll support business development and sales by delivering tailored solutions for mine dewatering and tailings management. Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders, you’ll drive customer-focused results—from interpreting specs and selecting products to leading projects from concept to completion.
This role is ideal for someone with strong technical, commercial, and customer service skills, and a hands-on approach to solving complex problems. You'll work cross-functionally with Engineering, Procurement, Field Service, and more to develop innovative, value-added offerings. Travel up to 20% across Canada and the U.S. to support client sites and drive grow our footprint.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers, consultants, sales, and engineering teams to develop integrated pumping system solutions and provide technical expertise.
- Support outside sales and develop opportunities through site visits and technical presentations, preparing equipment selections, quotations, and bids for engineered dewatering solutions.
- Manage proposal processes and support execution of customer orders in coordination with internal departments, ensuring timely and budget-conscious project delivery.
- Prepare RFQ scope documents for suppliers, evaluate supplier quotations for compliance, maintain communication with stakeholders, and perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Science is required.
- 4–7 years of relevant experience; pump selection, applications engineering, and supporting technical sales with complex proposals.
- Proven ability to engage with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to prepare quotations and select equipment to prepare technical quotations.
- Required to travel across Canada and the United States up to 20% of the time.
- Experience with engineered-to-order systems (e.g., floating pump stations, pump skids, pump houses, electrical control systems) and familiarity with mining, mineral processing, or manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
