Daryâ is an elegant-meets-earthy abode, we invite you to enjoy our chefs’ interpretation of Eastern Mediterranean flavours, ingredients and techniques. Our name, which translates to “sea” or “ocean” in Persian, serves as a nod to both our waterfront location and the Eastern Mediterranean seaboard. Led by District Executive Chef Steven Kwon and Chef de Cuisine John Chee, our kitchen seeks to pay homage to the distinct culinary traditions of the Eastern Mediterranean.
Under the direction of the Chef de Cuisine, Darya is seeking a Line Cook.
What you will be doing:
- Prepping food items for service
- Preparing food to order
- Maintaining a clean work area
- Closing the kitchen at end of day
- Opening the kitchen on occasion
The person we are looking for has:
- Passionate about food and a minimum of 1-2 years of similar work experience
- Knowledge in Eastern Mediterranean cuisine is considered an asset
- High volume experience
- Knowledgeable in areas of garde manger and fryer
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Possess the proven ability to plan and prioritize
- Basic knowledge of culinary operations, a team player, hard worker, and detail oriented.
- Is flexible and available for different days and shifts
- Food Safe Certification
