Job Profile
The Receptionist role provides reception services for the municipality at various locations throughout the City of Cambridge. Reporting to the Supervisor of Service Cambridge, the following duties will apply:
What you will be doing
- Providing customer service to all facility and Service Cambridge customers
- Telephone and counter reception duties
- Takes various registrations and verifies all transactions. Balances and accounts for all monies for his/her shift
- Unlocking and locking all areas as required, arming and disarming security system
- Assist with accidents and incidents as required
- Familiar with building emergency procedures
- Takes accurate accounts of statistics
- Administering duties as assigned by Customer Service Representative, CSR coordinator or Supervisor of Service Cambridge
Education
High school Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Experience and Knowledge

- One year experience in reception/clerical role (asset)
- Customer service skills (asset)
- Proficient math skills
- Accounting or cash handling skills (asset)
- Must be available to work a minimum of three (3) shifts per week (shifts hours vary between 3-5 hours/shift and may include days, evenings, and weekends depending on needs and availability)
On-the-job training will be provided.

Current and valid Police Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check to be provided prior to commencement in this position.
Proof of your current and valid certificate(s) and/or educational qualifications.
Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training certificate from the Ministry of Labour. (may be obtained post offer)
Rate of pay
The hourly rate for this position is $21.30
Hours of work
This position is assigned hours at service counters in the facilities covered by Service Cambridge (Johnson, David Durward Centre, Cambridge Centre for the Arts, Dolson, Allan Reuter Centre and William E. Pautler Centre. Candidates must be available to work a minimum of three (3) shifts per week (shifts hours vary between 3-5 hours/shift or longer and may include days, evenings, and weekends depending on needs and availability)
