About the role

Job Description Job Title: Stores Coordinator

Job Summary The Stores Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the necessary levels of manufacturing supplies and tools to support production needs. They are required to maintain records of withdrawals and returns of tools. The Stores Coordinator ensures that all tools and equipment are in good working condition and meet calibration specifications.

Responsibility Inventory control of tooling and miscellaneous items utilizing computer system, including daily counts of inventory

Tracking tooling usage and preparing product line reports

Maintain inventory control strategies to maximize inventory efficiencies and minimize costs

Distribution of material in the Tool Crib while ensuring that the proper materials are supplied based on the need of the employee

Assist purchasing personnel in procurement functions on a daily basis including order replenishment, follow up with suppliers, expedite past due orders, control forms, quotes, and issuing Purchase Reqs (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO)

Assist departments with creating/converting Purchase Reqs (PR), creating Purchase Orders (PO), acquiring quotes, completing releases, preparing return orders to be ready for shipping

Vendor communication and management including responding to vendor inquiries and following up on back-orders, quality issues, returns, and new items

Assist Manufacturing Engineers with finding the right tool for a given job

Departmental specific ordering of supplies including Paint, Shipping, Maintenance, and Service

Responsible for tracking tools under warranty and ensuring repairs are made when required

Other duties and/or projects as assigned

Academic/Educational Requirements Completion of secondary school or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Required Skills/Experience Ability to read lists of products, stock numbers, quantities and prices. Refer to schedules to locate times that trucks will be making deliveries

Interact with courier companies or delivery personnel to trace lost orders. Listen to customers describe their needs and respond to customer inquiries. Discuss changes in service policy with supervisors. Communicate with co-workers to co-ordinate schedules and tasks.

May use graphs to compare performance data over a period of time. Maintain inventory counts and reorder supplies when necessary.

Strong inventory control and stock keeping capabilities. May contact sales personnel or other departments to get information on specific transactions. May refer to catalogues to find information about products or services.

Ability to work independently. Work as a team with other personnel to ensure that support is there to ensure tools and materials are available for production.

Ability to use computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to multi-task and complete tasks with multiple interruptions

Keep up to date on changes in computer technology and with change in different tools and materials used for production
