Applications Are Invited For The Position Of Clinical Supervisor Position : Clincial Supervisor, Part-Time
Location :
Term Date : August 26,2025 until June 30, 2026.
Hours of Work : 0.6 FTE
The competition will remain open until a suitable candidate is found. Summary: The role of the Clinical Supervisor is multi-faceted and includes working with Family School Liaison Counsellors, school administration, the Inclusive Learning Team and community agencies. The Clinical Supervisor must demonstrate competency and knowledge in the following areas; child and youth counselling, child development, mental health, community supports, needs assessments, Violent Threat Risk Assessments (VTRA), Suicide Risk Assessments (SRAs), ethical considerations in counselling, legislative and legal considerations when working with children, case planning and collaborative planning and case management.
Role And Responsibilities
- Providing clinical supervision for Family School Liaison Counselors (FSLC) including but not limited to casework management, suicide risk assessment, physical, emotional and sexual abuse;
- Conducting, when required, Violent Threat Risk Assessments (VTRA) and Suicide Risk Assessments (SRA’s);
- Advocating for children and youth;
- Collaborating with other Registered health professionals;
- Ensuring access points to specialized addiction and mental health services and community resources;
- Mentoring and supporting Family School Liaison Counselors;
- Conduct Evaluations and oversee that all FSLC’s complete Professional Growth Plans;
- Works in collaboration with the Director of Inclusion to provide a high level of fiscal control and accountability for the budget;
- Ensuring strategic use of human resources in providing the most effective and efficient service delivery;
- Planning and determining the allocation of resources;
- Maintaining records in accordance with HIA and FOIPP, and ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory policies;
- Building the capacity of school and division staff by providing targeted professional development;
- Travelling to schools across the division.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Inclusive Learning.
Requirements
- Completion of a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work or a related program;
- Have the ability to provide clinical supervision for Family School Liaison counselors;
- Work collaboratively and effectively with a wide variety of teams, groups, and external agencies;
- The ability to assess complex and sensitive situations to determine reasonable solutions and supports;
- Ability to develop high levels of trust and confidentiality with individual staff members;
- High levels of motivation, adaptability and flexibility;
- Proficiency in writing, speaking, presenting, and technology use.

The Division Grande Yellowhead Public School Division (GYPSD) stretches from Jasper National Park, east to Evansburg, south of Cadomin, and northwest to Grande Cache. The jurisdiction includes 17 schools, 5 Learning Connection Centres, approximately 5000 students and 600 staff. The Division is governed by seven elected Trustees.
