About the role
Title: Robotics Deployment Engineer – Linux & Hardware Integration (Hybrid | Montreal) Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada (Hybrid – 2-3 days onsite/week)
About The Role For one our Canadian clients, we're seeking a Robotics Deployment Engineer with strong Linux systems experience , hands-on deployment of robotics applications , and deep understanding of hardware integration . This is a hybrid role with a growing team focused on building intelligent, real-world robotics systems.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain robotics applications in Linux-based environments
- Integrate and troubleshoot hardware components including sensors, actuators, and controllers
- Work closely with software engineers, mechatronics, and QA teams to ensure seamless system performance
- Script and automate system-level processes for deployments and updates
- Conduct field and lab-level hardware-software validation
Required Skills
- Proficient in Linux (Ubuntu/Yocto) environments, including scripting (Bash, Python)
- Experience deploying robotics systems (ROS, ROS2 preferred)
- Hands-on experience with hardware interfaces: USB, CAN, I2C, SPI, Serial
- Familiarity with embedded systems, networking basics, and firmware-hardware interaction
- Excellent debugging and integration skills (software + hardware)
Nice To Have
- Experience with edge computing platforms (NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi)
- Basic knowledge of control systems or real-time systems
- Exposure to version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines
